West's Piper commits to Illinois

IOWA CITY -- Iowa City West basketball player McKenzie Piper reportedly has committed to play at the University of Illinois and will sign with the Fighting Illini during the early signing period in November.
Piper averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds last year as a junior. She played her first two years at Keokuk High School.
West advanced to the Class 4A state championship game last season.
