Police looking for woman who damaged car with hatchet

CEDAR RAPIDS - Police said a woman reportedly used a hatchet to cause about $2,000 in damage to a car Tuesday morning.

Officers were called at 8:35 a.m. when a witness said the woman was damaging the car at 1221 15th St. SE.

According to the police report, windows were broken out, all four tires were punctured and a key was used to leave scratches on the car body.

The victim, Joceyln Rosdail, 46, was out of town when the incident happened, police said.

Police were told the suspect left in a vehicle but they did not find the suspect in the area. An investigation is continuing.
