C.R. Council needs Vernon for 4 more years
The Gazette Opinion Staff

During the last four years, Monica Vernon has worked tirelessly for the city of Cedar Rapids during some of its most difficult times, all the while holding the line on property tax rates. She has been a strong voice for flood recovery dollars from both the state and federal governments. She has been an advocate for neighborhood development in the post flood aftermath.
She was integrally involved in recruiting and selecting our current city manager, who has brought a dynamic, forward-looking approach to the city.
Monica also has done a great deal to streamline the processes for doing business with the city. She has accomplished much in a short time. However, there is a great deal left to do. Monica's membership on the City Council for another four years is vital as Cedar Rapids continues its revitalization.
