Decorah gets revenge over West Delaware for semifinal berth

DECORAH – Revenge and a state semifinal berth was a perfect recipe for a Decorah Vikings celebration.
The Vikings owed West Delaware after two straight losses, including one in last year's state quarterfinal, and they paid it back in full Monday night.
Decorah tallied 275 yards on the ground, controlling most of the game, to knock off the seventh-ranked Hawks, 24-14, in Class 3A state quarterfinal matchup at Viking Stadium. The Vikings will return to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, reaching the semifinals for the first time since 2008.
