Don’t cut funding for those with mental illness

I hope Linn County supervisors can find other places to cut their budget than by making cuts to a program that helps so many who have lives compromised by mental illness.
Many people with these disabilities have no Social Security, little or no health care or prescription coverage, and minimum jobs with no benefits. They rely on these funds to get the help they need to be functional. We have had many situations recently in the news that ended in death or casualties. If those people had access to mental health care and medicines they need, maybe it could have been averted.
Please let us not have this happen in Linn County, because people are not getting the help they need.
