Two City High dance team members to appear in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Two members of City High's Dance Team will be in the national spotlight Thursday as they perform in the 85

Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday morning.

Emma Hanson and Erin Helm, both seniors, are among hundreds of participants from across the country who will take part in the event on behalf of Spirit of America Productions. Hanson and Helm are among more than 600 dancers and cheerleaders selected to prepare for the parade. While in New York, participants are rehearsing for up to six hours per day, and are also touring landmarks and attending cultural events.

The two will appear in the front row in the nationally televised parade and will wear emerald green uniforms, according to Helm's mother, Regina Helm.
