Photo choice was depressing, offensive
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am a longtime Gazette subscriber and look forward to reading it thoroughly and solving the puzzles each morning.
The photo of the terminally ill person connected to oxygen on the front page of the Nov. 14 edition was extremely depressing and offensive. What a way to start out a Monday morning. Apparently whoever picked out this photo has never watched a loved one suffer and die.
If the photo and headline “The cost of dying” was meant to shock your readers into reading the article, you succeeded. However, it was very distastefully accomplished.
