Frustration, delays over health care coverage
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Nov. 26, 2011 11:27 am
I started Oct. 15. It is now, as I write this, Nov. 19. I have called United Health/AARP Medicare Part D Rx four times to get a specific piece of information. Each time, they have sent me the wrong information. Each correspondence takes seven to 10 days for receipt.
On Nov. 16 and again Nov. 19, I was called by supervisors and I was assured that this time the correct information will be sent out - yes, in seven to 10 days.
The Dec. 7 cutoff date is looming and I have spent considerable amounts of time with multiple customer service agents and supervisors ironing out what they tell me is information I have a right to obtain. I get conflicting and different information from different customer service agents.
Yet, I still wait for the next communication that may - or may not - have the information that I have requested.
This is a warning. As the advertisements and literature state, compare companies.
