Representations aren't just like us, they are us

The now admitted failure of the super committee adds too much to a plate of bad food. The recent disclosures of congressional insider financial trades on both sides of the aisle, without any legal repercussions, mainly because they are exempt, is just too much.
Representatives aren't just like us. They are us. If we can't make sure as a body politic that those in power are answerable, we as a society have failed. We only deserve this if we do nothing.
