Meeting will kick off Iowa City march toward wrestling Olympic trials
IOWA CITY – The Iowa City/Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau will hold its annual meeting Dec. 1, which will also serve as the official kick off toward the 2012 USA Wrestling Olympic Team Trials in Iowa City.
The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel, 210 S. Dubuque St.
Following a brief recap of the bureau's accomplishments this year, former University of Iowa wrestling coach Dan Gable will speak and there will be an exhibition by the Women's National Wrestling Team.
Iowa City will host the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at the UI's Carver-Hawkeye Arena April 21-22.
