Gas smell causes evacuation at Jones County courthouse
A gas smell forced a brief evacuation of the Jones County courthouse Thursday morning.
County Auditor Janine Sulzner said the building was evacuated around 10:15 a.m. when the smell was reported. Firefighters responded but no leak was found, and they did not detect dangerous gas levels on their monitors, she said.
Business was back to normal before 10:45 a.m.
