Veteran touched by Honor Flight recognition

I am one of the World War II veterans who was honored to be part of the Honor Flight of Oct. 18. It was the most outstanding trip one could imagine!
I wish I could thank each sponsor and volunteer personally. What a great, dedicated group!
Since the end of World War II, other than my family, I was probably thanked for my service by possibly five or six people. I do not think most of us expected any special recognition.
The recognition and reception at all stops on the trip, especially upon our return to Cedar Rapids, was so moving, I think most of us were raised during the “big boys don't cry” era; however, there were many teary eyes, mine included! May God bless all involved!
