Man’s generosity touching to woman

On a recent errand to mail Christmas packages, I visited a mailing depot. Upon arrival I was dismayed to discover that I had left my billfold at home. Laden with my boxes, I made my way inside because I had a significant amount of cash and had hoped it might be sufficient. I told the clerk of my plight. A conversation that was overheard by a gentleman.
The gentleman, a stranger to me, insisted on paying what I was short. Kindness like this cannot be measured by money. His thoughtfulness and concern for someone “who could have been his grandmother” was most touching.
