#1 Sun Tanning acquired by Omaha-based Ashley Lynn's

Ashley Lynn's Inc., which operates 16 tanning salons from its base in Omaha, has acquired #1 Sun Tanning Salons in Iowa City and North Liberty.

The salons acquired by Ashley Lynn's are located at 115 Highway 1 West in Iowa City and 585 Highway 965 South Suite C in North Liberty. The #1 Sun Tanning company has operated in the Iowa City area for over 25 years, according to a statement released Thursday, Dec. 29, by Ashley Lynn's.

In the statement, Ashley Lynn's Tanning Executive Vice President Tracie Cunningham said the company is excited to come to Iowa City and carry on the #1 Sun Tanning's excellent tradition of customer service.

"At Ashley Lynn's Tanning, we take pride in providing a progressive comfortable atmosphere, professional service, and a huge selection of tanning services and products,” Cunningham said.

Ashley Lynn's operates 16 salons in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. The company said #1 Sun Tanning's tans and memberships will be honored at any Ashley Lynn's Tanning salon. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
