Officials looking for Hope House resident
Officials at the Hope House community corrections facility reported one resident has been absent from their custody since early Thursday morning.
According to a report, Eric R. Parker, 23, who was living at 2501 Holiday Rd. as a condition of his probation, had signed out to go to work at Sedona Staffing, 2561 Independence Rd. in Iowa City, at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, but did not arrive back to the Hope House at his required return time of 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
He was on probation for third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault and third-degree theft.
As of 8:50 a.m. Friday, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Absence from custody is a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison.
