The Republican party has been hijacked
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 11, 2012 9:15 am
I'm a registered Republican because I believe in the core values of the party, less government and less taxes. Nowhere in the president's job description does it mention the word economy. Are we electing a president or a chief executive officer?
The same Republicans who are calling Barack Obama a socialist are the same ones who somehow expect the president to fix the economy. What hypocritical crap. Less government means less government. And for the record, I believe a woman has the right to choose, drilling for oil in sensitive areas is bad, I could not care less what gay people do with each other, and yes, the last two wars were a big mistake. I've also never seen a tax cut build a bridge or school.
I'm not the only Republican out there who feels the party has been hijacked by a minority fringe. Welcome to Iowa.
