Snow wipes out Metro wrestling slate

A storm that blanketed most of Eastern Iowa in snow has postponed or canceled a number of dual meets across the area. Among the ones postponed were a battle of top 10 teams with Iowa City West, ranked third by the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association, and No. 6 Cedar Rapids Prairie, and a special event at Cedar Rapids Jefferson, where The Last Ride Band, from Minneapolis, Minn., was going to perform in between the J-Hawks' junior varsity and varsity duals with Cedar Rapids Kennedy. The Last Ride Band wrote the song, "Take You Down" which shows multiple scenes from Cedar Rapids and Iowa wrestling figures Mark Ironside, Dan Gable and Tom Brands in its video.
