Liberals increased debt, yet expect contributions

In his letter of Dec. 23, “See conservatives for what they really want,” Thomas Sass says he has viewed both political parties with disdain. However, he then proceeds to lambaste only conservatives with a diatribe straight from the liberal play book. It is filled with some of the same old worn-out platitudes the Democrats trot our during every election cycle.
This time around, “Campaigner in Chief” Obama has inserted a new ploy in his demagoguery. By adopting a strategy of economic class warfare, he hopes to unite his party around one overarching issue.
By demonizing one class of taxpayers, the liberals want to direct attention away from the tax and spend habits of a corrupt and wasteful governmental bureaucracy centered in Washington.
While the nation wallows in a sea of red ink, the Obama administration engages in “crony capitalism” with Wall Street, automotive companies, banks, insurance companies, non-profit organizations and you name it. They have disbursed billions of dollars with little or no improvement in the overall economy. Instead we have witnessed an unprecedented acceleration in our national debt.
For their efforts to enrich their cronies, these socialists expect kickbacks in the form of campaign contributions.
