It’s not Congress’ job to ‘kick butt’
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 17, 2012 11:47 pm
Soon we will be viewing the conventions of both parties and what we will see is people with signs, balloons and wearing stupid hats trying to convince the voters that those giving speeches know what they're talking about and, as usual, they will blame everything on the other party.
I want to vote for people who can reach across the aisle and work for the common good from either party. We have a few of these very dedicated and qualified people in office now from both parties and we need to elect those who will supplement that effort, not contradict it.
We do not need more people in Congress that claim to “kick butt.” If this is your focus, please go play football or get a job cheerleading and stop boring me and polluting the air with mindless and pointless banter.
I want my country back.
