Regarding the Jan. 20 article “Departed chief thanks council for ‘courage' on traffic cameras.”
Duh, what's to question? More than a 75 percent reduction in Interstate 380 crashes and injuries, a savings of Cedar Rapids Police Department manpower hours, and a reduction in city crime from using the reassigned officers. What more can (or should) we ask for?
I say, let's keep our Cedar Rapids traffic cameras active for as long as we can.
