City to host open house about Public Works facility project

The City of Cedar Rapids will host a public open house about the redevelopment plans for the Public Works facility on Wednesday, February 1, between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., in the second floor lobby of the facility at 1201 6th Street SW, near the Building Service Division office.
During this come-and-go event, the City will present preliminary design layouts and renderings of the new facility for the site. Residents are encouraged to review the information, ask questions and provide feedback on the project design and submit ideas for a new name for the new building.
