Traffic cameras keep drivers safe, secure
The Gazette Opinion Staff

You are in the “S” curve on Interstate 380 on a snowy, slippery day. The car next to you starts to skid into your lane. As you look for an escape, you lose control of your car and you slam into the safety wall. The other car continues. It is all caught on camera and the other driver is cited.
I thought government made laws to keep citizens safe and secure. The traffic cameras have done that. Now the state wants them banned for very lame reasons. Talk about big brother taking control. For those who take a different route to escape a speeding ticket, take your poor driving habits somewhere else. When you speed, you can get caught with or without cameras.
People are always taking pictures of something newsworthy with their cellphones. Should this be banned also?
