West Branch topples Regina, 60-58

WEST BRANCH 60, IOWA CITY REGINA 58 -- Rylan Murray went off for 30 points as West Branch closed out the regular season with a Cedar Valley Conference road victory.Cody Brandt added 14 and Ryan Kirkey 11 for the Bears (17-4, 12-2 CVC). West Branch will host Tipton Monday in a Class 2A District 10 first-round game.Ryan Lynch scored 24 points and Ross Westemeyer hit five treys for 15 points for the Regals (16-5, 11-3 CVC). Regina opens district play next Thursday hosting the winner of Monday's Mid-Prairie/Columbus Community district first-rounder.
