Keep thriving Polk Elementary open
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Wow, what a turnaround Polk Elementary School did with education in the last three years. Let's keep this school open and use it as great example of how to teach all kinds of children to learn. This also would not happen if it did not have the year-round school so the children can retain what they learned longer.
I know we would keep Polk open if it came down to education. Our kids love their staff and they are missing Eric Christensen as their principal. He deserves credit for turning Polk education around. It's sad to see he left. It's just another thing the school board contributed to with throwing education out the door.
Keep Polk open. Education should be the No. 1 priority.
