Make tax go away with a second defeat

I wrote a letter before the first vote on extending the local-option sales tax. I said the reason we were having it so far in advance was if it did not pass, they could do it again and again until they shoved it down our throats. It is said that once you have a tax it will not go away. Let's make this one go away.
The biggest project in Marion is a library expansion. Has anyone checked the percentage of Marion residences that have a card and used it within a year? Should the rest of us pay for those who use the library as their after-school child care?
