CLASS 4A QUARTERFINALS

Iowa City High (17-6) vs. Iowa City High (22-1)

Time -- 10 a.m.

Coaches -- Bill McTaggart is 323-157 in 19 seasons, including 232-96 in 14 years at City High. B.J. Mayer is 212-114 in 14 years, including 85-34 in five seasons at West.

Key players -- Mickey Hansche (5-6, jr.) leads City High at 15.5 points per game while Sierra Chambers (6-2, sr.) adds 13.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest. Ally Disterhoft (6-0, jr.) paces West at 16.9 ppg while Mckenzie Piper scores at a 13.3-point clip.

Tournament history -- City High is making its sixth appearance. The Little Hawks were 4A champions in 2008. West is in the field for the second straight year; the Women of Troy were runners-up in 2011.

Tournament history -- Rich on both sides. Xavier is a qualifier for the ninth-time; the Saints won 3A titles in 2003, 2005 and 2007. Ankeny has qualified for the 25th time; the Hawkettes have won 10 championships.
