Last week, I heard a knock on my front door. It was the police. I was informed that they had received a call requesting they check on my well-being from my wife who is out of town.
With my health history, she was very concerned about my well-being since I hadn't called her that morning. I informed the officers I was all right and I would contact her as soon as possible.
From now on when I read to protect and serve, it will have a special meaning to me. Thanks again, officers. Keep up the good work.
