Vote yes to help College Community grow

On Tuesday, residents of College Community school district will have the option of voting yes or no for an upcoming bond issue regarding a new elementary school.
While some may try and compare College Community to the districts around us, that is quite an unfair comparison. Every district is different and has its own unique challenges. Some may say what they want but there is no conspiracy or fuzzy math attempting to misguide the community into something that is not needed.
Our growth rate is exceeding even the state estimates and you can't add more than 130 students a year without running out of room. We are not asking for an elementary building because we want it. This bond issue was part of a long-term plan where funds for this upcoming building were actually saved. That is why College Community Schools can say that although building a new elementary is going to require a new bond, this bond will have no effect on current tax rates. Needing a new school was something that was anticipated and that time has come.
A school is much more than a bond issue about a building. A school is a place for students, teachers, parents and community members to learn and be together. Voting yes will add a new community to the college district for your kids, your grandkids, your friends and your neighbors. Voting yes will help our district family grow.
