Schwab’s values will benefit the state

I am writing to endorse Dick Schwab as the Democratic candidate for House District 73. In addition to his many roles in our community - chairing the Mercy Hospital Board, Goodwill and Solon Dollars for Scholars, several terms on the Solon School Board, and numerous other local, state and national commitments - for more than 10 years, Schwab also has been an invaluable member of the Values Coach team, the company I work for. I've grown to know and respect his abilities to understand complex issues, effectively communicate with people at every level of an organization and to get things done.
Schwab has played a key role in helping us develop, publish and teach our courses on values-based life and leadership skills.
More than any other person I know, he lives those values on a day-to-day basis. Politically, he is exactly what our state, and for that matter our nation, desperately needs in this era of toxic polarization: a moderate who leans toward fiscal conservatism and social tolerance. Most important, I know Schwab well enough to know that he is not running for the Legislature because of personal ambition, but rather because he wants to make a contribution to his state.
