More than 1,300 expected for Run the Flood this weekend

Run to rebuild, run to recover, run to remember. That's the philosophy of Saturday morning's road race making tracks around downtown Cedar Rapids.
The 7-mile route covers both sides of the Cedar River, which raged through the area in June 2008, destroying and damaging everything in its path. The 5K route will loop into New Bohemia and back to the GreatAmerica Building parking lot - the beginning and ending point for both distances.
