On June 5, the voters of Johnson County decided I was worthy of being on the ballot in November. I want to thank them. It's through that all-important opportunity of participation in local government that made my victory possible.
In addition, I want to express sincere gratitude to my campaign chair, Bob Dvorsky, campaign committee, family members and volunteers for the endless support and time you have provided.
I thank Auditor Tom Slockett for more than 30 years of service. The current auditor laid the foundation for this great office that will enable me to take it to the next level for our community. I will continue to push for the programs I, as a resident and your future auditor, find so valuable, such as satellite and early voting. I will continue to work with the community to improve voter turnout and make sure all elections conducted fairly.
I look forward to your vote in November and to stepping up to the plate in January as your next Johnson County auditor.
