Marion American Legion Post 298 would like to thank all those who attended the Veterans Outreach Benefits and Dance. Thanks to your generosity, Marion Post 298 raised more than $3,200 for our homeless and unemployed veterans. These resources will be used to purchase food, clothing, cleaning supplies and other necessities to meet the needs of our veterans. These items will be distributed by the VA's Veterans Outreach Center in Cedar Rapids.
We thank all the local businesses who donated items for the drawings as well as the folks who volunteered their time and service, especially Bruce Taekwondo Academy and The Kirk Dighton Band, who provided entertainment through the evening.
Those of you wishing to still contribute to this cause may send donations to American Legion Post 298, Veterans Outreach Committee, 625 31st St., Marion, IA 52302.
