Romney would bring courage, honesty
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am going to likely go for Mitt Romney. He was not my first choice, but Romney has several assets I like in a president. One of them is courage. His NAACP appearance and President Barack Obama's dodging of that group has convinced me this man does have the ability to go toe to toe in the tiger's den. He has follow through on projects, both in business and as governor, and I think he will be honest in the job.
I like Obama but I don't think he is competent in the job nor do I believe he has been honest with us. His campaign is not addressing issues but diverting with personal attacks on Romney and he never takes ownership of anything. It is always on the other guy. You can only blame George W. Bush so much without pointing to your business donors, Congress, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, Fannie Mae and others for the 2008 debacle.
I am willing to give Romney a try. I don't judge his governorship of one of the most liberal states in America to be the same way he will preside over the country as a whole. I think he will move right of center and Americans seem somewhat comfortable there. Most of all, I think he can move this economy and that alone gets my vote.
