Obama voters are well-informed

In his Sept. 16 letter, “Minorities' vote based on race, not information,” Woodrow Smith claims “Black racism against whites” is real, that he's not a racist, but just likes to “keep it real” with his unsubstantiated claim that “a great number of minority voters will have very little informed information to justify” voting for Obama.

I will not stoop to calling the letter writer a racist; however, he is ill-informed and makes judgments based upon race without any factual support. In May, I graduated with a degree in political science from the University of Iowa. I'm a first-year student at the University of Iowa College of Law. I am not a low-information voter.

I will proudly vote for President Obama because on every issue I care about, President Obama's position and record is superior to former Gov. Mitt Romney's unstated position, changing position, or stated position lacking any specifics.

Contrary to the writer's claims that low-information voters support Obama, polls have consistently shown college graduates are far more likely to vote for Obama.
