Romney coming to central Iowa Oct. 9
James Q. Lynch Oct. 4, 2012 6:30 pm
A day after a presidential debate performance that won him plaudits from political talking heads, Mitt Romney's campaign said he's coming back to Iowa.
The Republican challenger will make his case to voters somewhere in Central Iowa Oct. 9, according to a “Republican strategist.” The location and other details have not been announced.
Romney's visit will be his seventh campaign appearance in Iowa since finishing second in the January precinct caucuses. His most recent campaign event was Sept. 7 in Orange City. Previously, he campaigned in Des Moines in May, Council Bluffs, Dubuque and Davenport in June 18, and Des Moines and Bettendorf in August.
Iowa is considered a battleground state. Romney is trailing President Obama here in most polls.
