Steve Sherman will reform property, business taxes

Sally Stutsman is a typical tax and spend liberal. She is a career politician, serving five terms as a county supervisor. Stutsman supports property tax increases on rural property, including a 7 percent increase this year. My husband and I certainly didn't see a 7 percent increase in our income. She supported the $20 million conservation bond, again a tax increase. No increase in income. She is supporting the proposed $48 million jail. She supported the joint communications center. Again, more tax increases.
Johnson County residents pay high property taxes. Young farmers are finding it difficult to attend college, get married, buy land and start a business with continuing tax increases.
Vote for Steve Sherman, a small-business man, husband, and father, for Iowa House District 77. Sherman will reform property and business taxes. He will truly represent rural Johnson County, not Iowa City tax and spend liberals. Sherman will work to help retirees be able to stay in Johnson County and not be driven out by high tax rates.
