Farmers doing well without subsidies

I want to express my opinion on the vote between Nate Willems and Dan Zumbach in House District 48.
Willems did a wonderful job in the House. He knows how hard it is to make a living and raise a family without help.
Zumbach received from the federal farm subsidy program from 1995-2011 a total of $676,345. That is a lot of government help in 16 years. At the same time, he says he will rein in on state government out-of-control spending. My farmer relatives say they have made more money in the last five years than anytime in history. So why does Zumbach need free money when farmers are doing so well?
I am 79 and when we farmed, we did it on our own, not with farm subsidies. Anyone can go online to EWG Farm Subsidies and read it. It needs to stop and these farmers need to get a conscience.
