Include location in casino vote

Do we need a casino in Cedar Rapids?
I am neutral on this issue at this point. However, if it comes down to a vote (in Linn County), I believe we would be voting on a partial choice, leaving the other half of the choice to the investors. I believe we should be voting on two things: Do we want it (licensed gambling) and we should know the particular location of the casino. My understanding is that there are five locations posed as possible sites.
In reality, you really don't know what you're voting for as the location will only be decided after the fact, if the vote is positive. It could be in the NewBo area, at First Avenue and First Street NW, Hiawatha, Westdale, or somewhere on Ellis Boulevard. Where it goes may or may not be what you want as a voter.
Think about this. We just “invested” many dollars in a hotel in downtown Cedar Rapids. Shouldn't we try to get it as close to this place as we can? Logic certainly says so.
