We should point finger at ourselves

You cannot Bubble Wrap the whole world to protect your loved ones. It is extremely sad what happened in Newtown, Conn., but there will never be a perfect place to live without war or threat of violence. The same day as the Newtown massacre, a Chinese man wounded 20 plus children with a knife in Chengping, China. Should we ban knives and sharp objects, too?
Instead of blaming tragedies on inanimate objects, how about we point the finger at ourselves for not educating each other on violence and the warning signs of people mentally ill? Instead of spending millions of dollars on campaigns to get rid of guns we could use that money on mental health programs to stop these acts of violence before they are thought of.
There is evil in this world we live in, we cannot stop this evil with written words. We stop it with good men, good men with the knowledge and physical force to do so. If you take away our right to own the tools to defend ourselves and others, the only thing that will happen is more tragedy.
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” - Edmund Burke
