Obama should work to end abortions
The Gazette Opinion Staff

President Obama has been working hard. He has introduced executive action with 23 new directives, 13 of them directly related to controlling guns. What happened at Sandy Hook Elementary was very sad. Of the 27 victims, 20 were children. These children will never get to see another day, have a graduation day, a wedding day, etc. President Obama recently stated:
“When I visited Newtown last month I spent some private time with many of the families who'd lost their children that day. And one was the family of Grace McDonnell … I think about how when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now, for Grace, for the 25 other innocent children and devoted educators who had so much left to give; for the men and women in big cities and small towns who fall victims to senseless violence each and every day; for all the Americans who are counting on us to keep them safe from harm.”
As an Illinois state senator, Obama resisted efforts to protect unborn children born alive after failed abortion procedures.
More than 50 million babies have been killed by abortion since its legalization 40 years ago. How could a man be so supportive of some innocent children's deaths and vote to kill and not even aid those not killed? I am sad he is working so hard to outlaw guns, but is willing to legally kill through abortion. Let's protect all.
