Organ donor gives life unselfishly

I needed a kidney transplant. After four people willing to be matches for me failed to qualify, another person stepped forward. Michelle Lehmkuhl gave me a part of herself, so unselfishly and so willingly. She showed that Christlike quality of a friend giving life for a friend. A healthy kidney was given to me. It was a lifesaving gift. A great Christmas gift.
As I told her, although I've been married 50 years, it wasn't enough to be married to my wonderful husband. She has extended my life to see my grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She has given to me a quality of life I couldn't have without her unselfish gift. May God bless you, my friend. I love you much.
Our only desire is that others may come to know our Savior through this. He too laid down His life for each one of us. He gives us everlasting life. Maybe you will accept Him into your heart and life and be eternally saved. John 3:16. That would be the greatest gift of all.
