Politicians should be held accountable
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am quite disheartened that neither Rep. Bruce Braley, Rep. Dave Loebsack or Sen. Tom Harkin have made an effort to find out how President Obama and Hillary Clinton allowed four U.S. citizens in Benghazi to be murdered while not lifting a finger to help them, when they could have. Where have all three of these politicians been on the IRS scandal?
How about the AP and Fox News illegal wiretapping? Not a word. Apparently, they have all been ordered to “stand down,” just like those who were willing and able to help our four Americans in Benghazi were told to do.
When honor and decency succumb to the obsession with political power, there is no bottom to how low a politician will sink.
It would also be refreshing if The Gazette would start doing some real reporting on all three of these scandals. Apparently, true journalism is right behind politics when honor and decency are involved.
