Not buying claims in speeding incident

Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds has publicly assured Iowans that the suspension of the state employee who alerted the highway patrol to a speeding car occupied by the governor and herself was “absolutely unrelated” to the speeding incident.

Gov. Terry Branstad and Reynolds know “absolutely” what is going on in places afar in which they are not, but the two of them are totally unaware of what is going on in a car in which they are both back-seat riders (but obviously not drivers).

Hum, clear enough; it was just a matter of schedule timing and counting on some sympathy due because the rest of us don't know the time of day.

Anyway, if perchance any of us ever gets caught out of time and speeding from one place to another, just inform the trooper that your speed is “absolutely unrelated” to what he ought to be doing and that is to be enforcing the law where he is not.

And whoosh, it's a bird, it's a plane, what was that that went flashing by as you were pulled to the side of the road? That was speedy Branstad and sidekick and faster than law and order because they are willing to cut corners.
