TV news should consider different format
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I would like to challenge all or any of the local television news media to produce a new format for on-air broadcasts. The current boy-girl format of I'm a celebrity “reading” the news is low-grade high school theatrics.
Consider a new format of one voice only, off camera, directing all the news. One person to do news, weather and sports. The “news” would be the number one focus with pinpoint accuracy. There would be no more “tee hees” and “dumdum” moments from the current TV news anchors.
The “news” is what we are turning in to see.
