Geese problem not new, affects whole city
The Gazette Opinion Staff

The new amphitheater is having a problem with Canada geese taking over the area and causing a big mess and annoyance. Welcome to Cedar Rapids! They are all over the place and have been around for years.
The city has a system that every 30 minutes plays a recording of geese in distress and (plans for) a hovercraft object that will chase them away.
Really! What about other businesses or property that have a problem with geese? Is the amphitheater the only place in the area that geese are polluting with their droppings? I think not!
