BGM is the big scorer. Cedar Rapids Xavier and Waukon are the big stoppers.And Iowa City Regina has the big streak that just keeps growing.The No. 1 teams in all six classes remain the same -- Xavier in Class 4A, Sioux City Heelan in 3A, Waukon in 2A, Regina in 1A, BGM in Class A and Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton in Eight-Man.Xavier is the top defensive squad in 4A, allowing 2.3 points per game. The Saints (3-0) have posted consecutive shutouts against Cedar Rapids Jefferson and Cedar Rapids Prairie.Friday night, the Saints allowed just 92 yards of total offense -- only 27 in the first three quarters -- in a 23-0 victory over Prairie.Waukon (3-0) began the season with back-to-back shutouts against Oelwein and Charles City. The Indians beat Waterloo Columbus, 47-6, last week and have outscored their first three foes, 131-6.BGM is at the other spectrum. Nobody has slowed the Bears (3-0), let alone stopped them. BGM has scored 209 points in three games, an average of 69.7 per contest.The Bears beat Southeast Warren, 70-0, last week.Regina won its 45th consecutive game last week, handling West Branch, 41-16. The Regals face fellow unbeaten Eddyville EBF on Friday at Eddyville.Ames made the biggest jump of anyone in any class. The Little Cyclones (3-0) moved from ninth to sixth in 4A after a 34-30 victory over Ankeny Centennial.
