It is likely that DeWitt Central will be stripped of two football victories this season because it used a player more than the legal limit of four quarters in a night.
As was reported in the Quad-City Times, the school self-reported the violation to the Iowa High School Athletic Association on Monday.State rules allow a player can play in both a sophomore and a varsity game on the same day, but the player can play no more than four quarters. The victories came against West Delaware in Week 1, and its district-opening win over Maquoketa in Week 3. Central lost to Williamsburg in Week 2.
