Iowa had the highest-attended state track and field meet in the nation in 2013.By a lot.According to information received by the National Federation of High Schools -- with research completed by Kevin Mangan for American Track & Field -- Iowa's attendance for the co-ed meet last May easily ranked No. 1 in the country.The three-day event drew an attendance of 34,311 into Drake Stadium in Des Moines.Ohio's two-day event drew 27,441 fans and ranked second, followed by Texas (26,102 in two days), Oregon (23,155 in three days) and Kansas (20,001 in two days).Iowa's state meet has gone with the three-day, co-ed format since 2005.
