Ian Petrella hasn't eaten at a Chinese restaurant on Christmas, but he does have a leg lamp in his window. It was a gift from Brian Jones, who opened the "A Christmas Story" house and museum in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2006.
The house was immortalized 30 years ago, when the exterior shots jumped to the silver screen in the movie that tops several lists of holiday "favorite" and "best" films, including a 2012 Marist Poll. (Most of the interior scenes were filmed on sound stages and locations in Canada.)
Petrella, who played little brother Randy Parker, will attend two showings of the classic movie Sunday (12/22) at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids. It marks the first time since the Floods of 2008 that a movie will be shown in the 1,700-seat auditorium that opened in 1928 as a performing arts center and movie palace.
