REVIEW: 'Carmen' brings fiery passion to Paramount stage

CEDAR RAPIDS - Janara Kellerman's dream has come true in a most magnificent way.
Singing on the Paramount Theatre stage with Cedar Rapids Jefferson's West Side Delegation show choir in the early 1990s, the mezzo-soprano -- now based in Manhattan -- made a triumphant return there Friday night as Carmen.
The Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre production is a triumph in every way imaginable, and will be performed again at 2 p.m. Sunday (1/19/13).
